17 th Triglav TrophyINTERNATIONAL FIGURE SKATING COMPETITION

Time: April 3rd – 5th, 2008
Events:
SINGLE SKATING: SENIOR – Ladies, Men
JUNIOR – Ladies, Men
NOVICE – Girls, Boys
General note:
The
competition will be held in accordance with the ISU Regulations figure
Skating 2006 and ISU Communications for Figure Skating.
Competition will fulfil also Communication N. 1460 paragraph 2. - ISU World Standings.
Technical
panel will be from (3) different ISU countries. If there are minimum 8
single skaters out of four different ISU countries, points for World
Standings will be awarded.
Participation:
ISU Members
Each
team may enter four competitors (two ladies, two men) in senior single
skating events and four competitors (two ladies, two men) in each
category in single skating of junior and novice events.
The entries
that were placed the first three at the ISU Junior Grand Prix Final
2007/2008 and the medallists of the World Junior Championships 2008 are
not counted into the quota above.
The Slovene Skating Union and the
organizer reserve the right to enter additional teams and additional
competitors in each category.
Only the ISU Members, which enter competitors in at least four categories, will be qualified for the Team Competition.
Judges:
Each
ISU Member may nominate one International or ISU Championships Judge.
An ISU Member participating in four or more categories gains the right
to enter the second International or ISU Championships Judge.
Referees:
The
ISU Member participating in at least three categories gains the right
to nominate one ISU recognised Controller. The ISU Member participating
in all six categories (one senior lady, one senior man, one skater per
category in Junior and Novice events) gains the right to nominate ISU
recognised Controller and ISU recognised Technical Specialist. In case
of two many nominations the first entered will have the priority. The
officials nominated will be posted after the closing date of entries.
Closing data for entries:
Entries
of the teams, competitors, coaches and the team leaders must reach the
organizer not later than March 10th 2008. Entries must be sent to the
Slovene Skating Union.
Expenses:
The organiser can not cover the expenses for the teams in total.
The
expenses of the hotel accommodation on full board basis will be covered
for one/two Judges, one nominated Controller and Technical Specialist
of each entered ISU Member and for the first three placed of the Junior
Grand Prix Final 2007/2008 or at Junior World Championships 2008,
beginning with dinner on Tuesday, April 1st till breakfast on Monday,
April 7th, 2008.
In addition the organizer will cover the expenses
of full board accommodation for one team leader for the same period if
the ISU Member participates with eight or more skaters.
Music:
Music
will be reproduced strictly from music cassettes at normal speed and
Compact Discs. They must state full name, category and the team.
Accommodation:
To
facilitate participation, the organizer has allotted the hotel
accommodation for all participants beginning with the dinner on
Tuesday, April 1st till breakfast on Saturday, April 5th, 2008. Round
trip shuttle bus transfer from the hotel to the Ice Rink Podmežakla
will be provided from the first official practice until end of
competition.
Upon request the organizer will arrange transportation
from Airport Ljubljana to the official hotel at the arrival of Teams
and from the official hotel to the Airport Ljubljana at the departure
of Teams.
SENIOR – Ladies, Men
Short Program
Duration: 2 minutes and 50 seconds maximum, but may be less
The
required elements to be skated are those listed in ISU Technical Rules
Single and Pair Skating 2006, Rule 310 and respective ISU
Communications.
Free Skating:
Duration: Men: 4 minutes and 30 seconds, +/- 10 seconds
Ladies: 4 minutes, +/- 10 seconds
In accordance with ISU Technical Rules Single and Pair Skating 2006, Rule 320 and the respective ISU Communications.
JUNIOR – Ladies, Men
Short Program
Duration: 2 minutes and 50 seconds maximum, but may be less
The
required elements to be skated are those listed in ISU Technical Rules
Single and Pair Skating 2006, Rule 310, paragraphs 1 and 3, group C for
season 2007/08 and the respective ISU Communications.
Free Skating:
Duration: Men: 4 minutes, +/- 10 seconds
Ladies: 3 minutes and 30 seconds, +/- 10 seconds
In accordance with ISU Technical Rules Single and Pair Skating 2006, Rule 320 and the respective ISU Communications.
NOVICE: Girls and Boys
Competition will be held in accordance with ISU Communication No. 1397
Short Program
Duration: Boys, Girls - 2 minutes and 30 seconds maximum, but it may be less
The required elements to be skated are listed in ISU Communication No. 1397.
Free Skating
Duration: Boys: 3 minutes and 30 seconds, +/- 10 seconds
Girls: 3 minutes, +/- 10 seconds
Liability:
In
accordance with the ISU Regulations, Rule 119 the Organizer accept no
liability for the damage or injuries which any of participants, judges,
officials or others may suffer.
Results:
The
results will be calculated in accordance with ISU Special Regulations
and Technical Rules 2006 Single and Pair Skating 2006 – Rules 352 and
353 (ISU Judging System)
Calculation of team results:
In each team, one best-placed skater in each category will count for the Team?s competition.
- In each single skating category, the first placed skater will receive 25 points; the second placed 23, the third 22 etc.
-
For calculation of results, the points obtained in each category will
be multiplied by following factors: Seniors 3, Juniors 2 and Novices 1.
-
The winner of Triglav Trophy will be the team with the highest amount
of points. If two or more teams obtain the same amount of points, the
first place will go to the team, which has better placed Seniors.
Awards:
Skaters placed first to third will be awarded medals and diplomas, all the others diplomas.
The best-placed team will receive Triglav Trophy Cup.
Preliminary schedule of events
Preliminary
schedule of events is enclosed. The final will be published after
registration of all entries. The exact time schedule will be sent to
all the participating ISU members by fax or e-mail not later than on
March 25th, 2008.

Information:
The
rate for a full board accommodation in a double room is 61 EUR per
person daily. Organizer will allot the accommodation for all
participants from April 1st till April 6th, 2008. Please, send us,
together with your entries, your accommodation requests. If you want to
come earlier or prolong your staying, please inform us on your
accommodation request.
